Hearing Aid Dispensing
"Personal Attention Defined"
When the patient is fit with hearing aids, we verify the prescription of the hearing aid after they are programmed. We use live voice testing by inserting a little probe in the ear, we take an unaided ear response, then place the hearing instrument in the ear and we do an aided response with live speech using the rainbow passage or some sort of composition to assess soft, average and loud speech levels that takes place during the hearing aid fitting, also at that point the patient has an adjustment period of 45 days to adjust to the hearing instrument, if at that time they are unhappy with that particular style or if we have problems with the fit you can return the hearing aid.
Middle Ear Analysis
"Pinpoint and Accurate Analysis"
The purpose of a Middle Ear Analysis is to assess the integrity of the middle ear system. Most middle ear problems are conductive in nature and treatable and are temporary, such as Cerumen Accumulation, Perforated Ear Drum, and Fluid behind the Ear Drum.
Live Digital Speech Mapping
"Digital Audiological Accuracy"
When some companies access the hearing aid, its called real ear verification, and a sweep of tones is used. This is a very good technique but we feel that this isn't
the most Audiologically Accurate way to capture a valid measurement. Digital hearing instruments require high performance digital technology. That is why we use Live Digital Speech Mapping. Live Speech is what a person is subjected to every day of their life, we can measure a soft, an average and a loud curve using Digital Speech Mapping.
We also have the capability to simulate hearing loss to loved ones of the patient to let them know of where hearing difficulties are.
